Get listed on Bing

Bing is smaller than Google, but it matters more than people think. It powers several other search services, and AI assistants such as ChatGPT use it when they search the web. Being on Bing helps you show up in AI answers too.

The good news: you can copy most of what you already did.

Part 1: Bing Webmaster Tools (for your website)

  1. Go to bing.com/webmasters and sign in.
  2. Choose to import from Google Search Console. Sign in with your Google account and pick your site. Bing copies your verification and your sitemap.

Part 2: Bing Places (for the map)

  1. Go to bingplaces.com and sign in.
  2. Choose to import from Google Business Profile. Pick your business. Bing copies your details.
  3. Check that everything came across exactly right: name, address, phone, hours, category, website. Fix anything that's off.
  4. Complete any verification Bing asks for.

Done when: your site appears in Bing Webmaster Tools, and your business is listed (or pending verification) on Bing Places with the same details as Google.
