Sooner or later, a change will break something. A menu disappears, or a page looks odd. That's normal, and it takes about a minute to fix. Knowing that makes changing things much less scary.
Way 1: go back in Cloudflare (fastest)
Cloudflare keeps every version you've uploaded.
- Open your project in Cloudflare and look at the list of deployments. Each one is an upload, with a date.
- Find the last one that worked.
- Open its menu (usually three dots) and choose Rollback to that version.
Your live site is back to that version within moments.
Way 2: use your dated copy
Remember the copy you make before every change? Open it, check it in your browser, and upload that folder as a new deployment.
Practise now: roll back to yesterday's version, check your site on your phone, then roll forward again to today's. Now you know it works.
When something looks wrong, check these first:
- Page looks unstyled or broken: the AI probably gave you only part of the file. Ask again for "the full updated file".
- A photo is missing: the photo file isn't in the folder you uploaded, or its name doesn't match exactly (capital letters count).
- The form stopped sending: the form ID in your file may have changed. Compare it with the form ID in your MyFormConnect dashboard, and check your domain is still listed under Settings → Domains.
- Everything looks right on your computer but old on your phone: refresh the page, or wait a few minutes.
Using another platform? Look for Version history, Revisions or Restore in your editor.
That's the building part done. Tomorrow we put your business on the map.
Done when: you've rolled back once and rolled forward again.
